Chick Hicks NASCAR Car

Car color: Green (Car #86) / Engine: V8 Engine / Chief Sponsor: Hostile Takeover Bank (HTB)

Chick Hicks is a racecar in the Pixar movie Cars. Hicks is in a three-way tie with The King and Lightning McQueen and is attempting to win the Piston Cup. His nickname is The Runner-Up as he seems to always lose to The King. He also has the reputation of not racing fairly. In the championship Piston Cup race he intentionally sideswipes The King, causing him to spin out of control and crash. When Lightning sees what has happened to The King, he stops before crossing the finish line and goes back to help The King across the line, allowing Chick to win first place and the Piston Cup. The fans turn on Chick, causing him to have to make a quick getaway with his trophy. Chick's primary sponsor is the Hostile Takeover Bank (htB). His car number is 86.

Chick Hicks's pit crew consists of a group of forklifts (all wearing false moustaches similar to Chick's) who mainly give gas and change tires for Chick, with a Dodge Ram pickup as the Crew Chief named "Chief Chick", providing important tactical information on the other racers (i.e., telling Chick that Lightning had blown a tire in the first race). They make fun of Guido ("Hey, Tiny, you gonna clean his windshield?") before he demonstrates his lightning-fast tire changing, causing the forklifts to drop their false moustaches in disbelief (the largest of them only doing so when Guido says, "Peet stop", one of his few English lines in the film), in a manner similar to the well-known "jaw drop" in many Tex Avery cartoons. Their names are unknown, except one, whose name is Bruiser Bukowski. His trailer is briefly seen, and his driver is not seen at all.

Chick Hicks is a green General Motors G platform vintage NASCAR stock car in Disney Pixar Cars Movie. This American Car strongly resembles a 78-88 General Motors G-Body such as Buick Regal or Grand National.

This veteran NASCAR racing car on Disney Pixar Cars movie is a ruthless competitor, who has bumped and cheated his way into more second place finishes than any other race car. Forever living in the King's shadow, he's the consummate runner-up and will stop at nothing to win the Dinoco sponsorship. Determined to do whatever it takes to win, he will often ram other cars in order to cause a wreck. Chick Hicks and Lightning McQueen share the same dream of being not a fleet car but the new face of Dinoco.

The General Motors G platform (also called G-body) was used for GM mid-size cars such as Buick Regal and Chevrolet Malibu. This automobile platform letter was used twice. The current G-bodies use the front wheel drive version.

The first G-bodies were rear-wheel drive and built from 1982 to 1988. This generation of cars actually began production in 1978 under the A-body classification. Following the downsizing of the 1977 B-bodies (Impala and full-size), the A-body intermediates were next, shrinking to roughly the size of the previous X-body Chevrolet Nova compacts, with 6 passenger seating, and bringing down the wagon body style. The Buick and Oldsmobile were introduced with fastback coupe styles like import cars which were not well received, while the Chevy and Pontiac got notchbacks. The later notchback coupes were popular in NASCAR and lowriders. Another interesting design compromise was non-lowering rear door windows on 4 door models. These competed with the Ford Fox platform cars like the Fairmont and Thunderbird, and various Chrysler K and Plymouth Volare variants.

While not being purely American, there are also other luxury car brands being sold in the U.S. Like Infiniti, Lexus or Acura. (i.e. Infiniti: Infiniti is the luxury car division of Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. All current Infiniti coupes, luxury sedans and crossovers are based on the Nissan FM platform.)
